REQUIREMENTS:
• Journeyman Electrician (no apprentices will be accepted for this position)
• Must have Electrical service experience (oilfield experience preferred)
• SCR, VFD, PLC and New Rig design experience an asset
• Willing to travel throughout Alberta
• Be available for on-call rotation and on an “as needed” basis
• Able to work independently ensuring all aspects of the job are completed accurately
• Must be honest, safe and professional
• Eye for detail
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints /drawings
• Clean criminal record
• Own basic hand tools as well as metering equipment including DMM and clamp meter
• Experience with PLC control systems and integration with mechanical equipment an asset
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Position, maintain and install distribution and control equipment such as switches, relays, and fuse enclosures
• Opportunity to learn how to wire/build oilfield equipment such as drilling rigs and Top Drives
• Opportunity for International travel may be available
• All other duties as assigned by Electrical Foreman
